02 Jun Worth The Trek – OC Shopping
Ever venture outside of LA to get your shopping fix? Fashion blogger, Katie Arnold from the-style-riot.com, shares her favorite hidden gems worth the jaunt from LA to The OC this weekend. Best of all, parking in Orange County is (mostly) free and plentiful!
LUNA BOUTIQUE @shoplunab
Stocked with all the latest trends and easy-breezy pieces, Luna B. is where it’s at for that laid-back California-cool vibe. Check out their two locations by the beach:

CLEOBELLA @cleobella
Cleobella’s bohemian chic clothing line was founded in Bali and blesses free spirited goddesses in Orange County with their flagship boutique in Huntington Beach. In addition to their OC location, you can find Cleobella clothing at Anthropologie, Shopbop, Nasty Gal, and more!

LAURENLY @laurenly_boutique
Located in the heart of Old Towne Orange, Laurenly offers a variety of easy, trendy, and affordable women’s clothing and accessories. Laurenly’s best asset? Mixing well-known labels with one-of-a-kind pieces from local designers.

LF LAGUNA @lflaguna
OK, OK. So there’s an LF on Robertson. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take a weekend trip down the coast and check out their original location in the heart of Laguna Beach! Geared towards girls who dare to be different, LF is the queen of fashion treasure hunting.

LOBBY @lobbylab
Lobby is probably the coolest store on this list. With brands like Unif, Lovers and Friends, Wildfox, and Kill City, Lobby manages to outdo nearly every other store in OC, offering rad finds for both men and women. Definitely worth stopping by its prime location at The Lab Anti-Mall in Costa Mesa.

THE LAB @thelabantimall
The Lab, also known as “The Anti-Mall” is a homey indoor/outdoor hangout nestled in the midst of Orange County’s suburban palm tree perfection and boasts a uniquely hip and relevant identity. LAB stands for “Little American Business” and that’s what they stand for. You’ll find everything from Urban Outfitters and Buffalo Exchange to locally-owned and curated boutiques like Lobby and food joints like the Gypsy Den.

FASHION ISLAND @fashionisland
You can’t make a list of OC shopping and leave out Fashion Island, the massive outdoor shopping center in Newport Beach. My favorite stops at Fashion Island are American Rag Cie, Anthropologie, Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics, Kitson, lunch at Lemonade, and dinner at True Food Kitchen. Yes, all are available to you LA folk, but not in the relaxing, posh, sunny coastal setting Fashion Island offers!

THE OC MIX @theocmix
Last but certainly not least, if you’re more a local, handmade, off-the-beaten-path kind of person, you seriously need to check out The OC Mix. Its unique industrial interior is reminiscent of New York’s Chelsea Market and the “Eat – Shop – Local” mini-mall is home to local boutiques and specialty food retailers you can’t find anywhere else. Make sure to check out Lili Claspe (www.liliclaspe.com) while you’re there! Her handmade jewelry is out of this world.
